MBO Cinemas opened its eight-screen Cineplex in June 2009. This Cineplex kuching is first in East Malaysia. The MBO Cineplex Cinema, located on the top floor of The Spring shopping mall have a total seating capacity of 1,584 with the largest hall accommodating 426 patrons. MBO Cinema Kuching cost RM 8 millions. The Cineplex has a 3D projector and “couple seats” for pairs. One hall designated for couple seats which can accommodate about 50 couples. 2. Boulevard Mall
Located at Mile 4 Kuching-Serian Road (not far from Regional Bus Terminal). Opened in late December 2007. It offers a Boulevard Hypermarket and Department Store plus a variety of shopping outlets like Sony Centre, Popular Book store and fast foods outlets such as Sushi King, Kenny Rogers Roasters and KFC. The management is currently expanding the mall.

This is the 2nd Boulevard in Sarawak. The 1st being in Miri opened for a few years and known for its HUGE brick-red coloured building and extensive carpark. This Kuching 2nd Boulevard is a 6-storey building. There have 2 basement storeys are parking parks.Boulevard Hypermarket is the main tenant with the biggest floor space on each storey. On the 1st floor(basement) is the supermarket and electrical goods etc, 2nd Floor – Ladies Wear, 3rd Floor– Men’s wear, 4th Floor – Kid’s wear. 1st Floor is basement and Food court. 2nd Floor - Guardian, Kenny Rogers 3rd & 4th Floor - Popular Bookshop, Clothes shop, Hair Salon. Kuching has not being a shopping haven in Sarawak until 2008 when 2 big shopping malls opened. Including both big and small, there are 8 shopping centers in Kuching. The more popular one include Tun Jugah, Riverside Shopping complex and Sarawak Plaza. For electronic gadgets, go to Wisma Saberkas. Wisma Saberkas is the IT centre in Kuching with a lot of good deals for electronic equipments in there. This mall is the kuching version of Low Yat Plaza of Kuala Lumpur. The famous electronic equipment here such as Komputer, Latop, Handphone, and etc. Since 2007 six new malls are coming up. 3 of those being big ones. Another few others under planning. The first to open amongst these new malls is Boulevard Lifestyle Shopping Mall as the biggest lifestyle mall in Sarawak. Boulevard is own by Sarawak own business men. The first Boulevard Mall is in Miri which is smaller than the Kuching sister mall. 3. Green Heights Mall
located at Jalan Lapangan Terbang, it is Kuching's first suburban neighbourhood small mall, with an international Cold Storage Supermarket as the anchor tenant, over some 4,000 m² of leasable space. It opened on the 13th June 2008.

4. Sarawak Plaza
Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman (next to Grand Margherita Hotel). One of Kuching's older malls. Lea Center is the anchor tenant, selling a wide variety of shoes from sportswear to fashion. Recently, the mall was renovated hoping to provide a better shopping environment for both locals and foreigners.
From the view we can see the middle of the building between two building.so, that is the Sarawak Plaza.
5. Tun Jugah
Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman (opposite Sarawak Plaza). Named after the first Sarawakian politician in Malaysian Parliament, the mall stands majestically twelve storeys tall at the commercial and financial hub of Kuching City. It comprises three levels of retail space, nine levels of office space, and two levels of basement car park. It also has one of the major local bookstores, Popular, as one of its main tenant.
6. Wisma Saberkas
Wisma Saberkas located at Jalan Tun Haji Openg. Junction of Green Road, Rock Road and Batu Lintang Road. This 22-storey shopping cum office complex (7 storeys shops + 15 storeys of offices) has over 40 computer shops and mobile phone shops and booths offering the latest and choices of ICT products. Wisma Saberkas is a good place to getting computer parts and components. Her you find laptop, printer, scanner, rams, and so forth from trusted acquaintances in computer IT and sales. Be it laptops, desktop computes, printers, MP3 players, gaming software, digital cameras and all ICT related products, shopper can find their model here. The shopping mall opened in the year 1985 and has established as one of Sarawak’s foremost ICT malls. Wisma Seberkas also houses a supermarket and departmental store, Ngiu Kee, bank, pharmacies, food outlets, clothing boutiques, beauty salons, hair salons, cyber cafes, fitness equipment stores, etc... This mall is oriented for general public. 7. Riverside Shopping Complex
Jln. Tunku Abdul Rahman (opposite Sarawak Plaza). One of the older malls in the city, it is home to the first Parkson in Kuching. Other anchor tenants include LFS Cineplex and Giant Supermarket. It is also home to Riverside Bowling - one of the two bowling centres in Kuching.

8. Kenyalang Park
Kenyalang Suburb. A very old place that consists of a cluster of shophouses and one enclosed area. It is the place to go if you want to find cheap items like clothes, accessories and especially DVDs/VCDs. When Chinese New Year approaches, many stores are set up here to cater to the event. Kenyalang would usually be crowded with people during these times.
9. Crown Square
Towards Pending, opposite Hock Lee Centre. A medium-sized, newly refurbished shopping mall. The tenants include Mr. Ho's Fine Foods - which serves authentic fusion cuisine. The largest Mummycare and Kiddycare in the city is located here.
10. Hock Lee Centre
Jln. Abang Abdul Rahim. The place to find and buy cheap clothes and fashion accessories for the young females. There are electronics and a supermarket in the basement and Home & Living on the ground and 1st floor. One of the major bookstores in Kuching, Smart Bookshop is under the same roof. A Hock Lee Music Centre is also available on the 3rd floor(previously was on the 2nd floor) which sells a wide variety of musical instruments(be warned that these are not traditional instruments).
SHOPPING PODIUM Hock Lee Centre is well known as the longest shopping / prime retail corridor along Jalan Datuk Abang Abdul Rahim. (160m. long).
Hock Lee Centre Shopping Podium has retail space over 117,000 sq. ft. Three storey elegant atrium can be used for promotions or having special events.

11. Wisma Satok
Off Jln Satok, just a pedestrian bridge away from the location of the Sunday Market. One of the older malls in Kuching. Cheap items can be found here. There's a departmental store and supermarket. A high concentration of mediocre cyber cafe is at the fourth floor. CIMB Bank is located beside Wisma Satok.
12. Wisma Hopoh
Jalan P. Ramlee, near Syaria Court. Just a walk away from Sarawak Museum. A small and old shopping centre yet still frequented by shoppers. Its tenant includes Lea Sports Centre, Jee Kwong Optics and the fast food restaurant franchise, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).
13.The Hills
This new shopping complex is newly built last year and slowly gaining its reputation as a place for leisure and brands. Another attraction to the complex is New Avenue, a place that consists of 36 mini fashion outlets catering for the needs of trendy youths, while an ICT section having around 32 outlets offering a wide range of high tech gadgets is also on the cards. 610 basement car park lots are available and the basement car park is spacious as well with lit conditions.
